School bus driver Dustin Ray makes one last round to say goodbye to Rockwood families
"I get see my kids. I have not seen them since March when we started Spring Break and everybody disappeared off the face of the Earth. We haven't been able to say anything to each other, laugh or go to the school," said Rockwood Schoo District bus driver Dustin Ray, who stops at the “twin bus stop” as he drives his bus route one last time on Wednesday, May 20, 2020, in Chesterfield. Rockwood students and parents gathered at the bus stops to wave, hold signs, cheer and give presents to their drivers to mark the last week of class. The “twin bus stop” is called such because three sets of the twins wait at the bus stop. Photo by Laurie Skrivan, lskrivan@post-dispatch.com
