Soulmate window visit
“I don’t want him to think I have abandoned him during this time. He’s the most important person to me. There is nobody I would rather be with. He’s my husband, my soulmate. He is my love, the love of my life," said Kathy Carnoske, who visits her husband Gary of 48 years, as by standing outside a window on Sunday, March 29, 2020, at Community Care Center of Lemay. “It’s been extremely difficult because it’s hard on me but I feel like I am more upset about him because I don’t know if he understands why I am not inside,” said Carnoske, who has visited her husband every day while he has been a resident at the skilled nursing home for the last couple of years. “For about the first week I tried just calling. Then it was too the point I’d rather come to the window if I could,” she said. “I don’t want him to get so down and depressed. I need him him and he needs me.”
