Choosing work over school
"I started my job in August. I was seeing my mom struggle with a lot of bills and I wanted to help her out,” said Jahaun Toles , 17, a senior at McCluer High School, who adjusts his apron before leaving for his job serving lunch at a nursing home on Friday, Oct. 16, 2020. Since his football season was moved to the Spring, Toles works to pay for the internet and is saving to buy a car.
